Who Is The Program For?
The program regulates the operations of the body artists in Columbus and Worthington to protect their customers and the general public.
How To Use The Program
Any person engaged in the practice of body art, including tattooing, piercing and permanent cosmetics in Columbus or Worthington must apply for a license with Columbus Public Health using the approved forms.
Cost
Any person who intends to operate a tattoo or body piercing business in Columbus or Worthington must contact Columbus Public Health. Plans must be submitted for approval in advance of the application for license for review. An application for a permanent license must be submitted at least 30 days before the anticipated opening date. A temporary license application must be completed and submitted with appropriate payment at least 10 days in advance of the first day of operation. The annual license fee for a permanent tattoo or body piercing operation is $150.00 per year. The license fee is $25.00 per day for temporary operations.
