About...
The Office of Minority Health works to eliminate differences in health status between racial and ethnic minority and non-minority populations by providing leadership and guidance on best ways to address racial and ethnic health disparity and specific health needs of racial and ethnic minority groups.
Program Services
Consultation regarding addressing specific health needs of minority populations. Coordination of language interpretation and translation services at the Columbus Health Department. Health programming in churches and worship centers. Guidance on starting and maintaining active health ministries.

How To Use The Program
Language interpretation needs are determined when clients come for services and are provided at no cost. FaithWorks, a coalition of churches and worship centers, and health care providers meets the third Thursday of every month, 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Call the Office of Minority Health at 614-645-7649 for locations.

This assessment was designed to look at the department’s efforts in the delivery of care to racial and ethnic minority populations.
