About...
Tobacco use is currently the number one cause of preventable death in this country. For every eight smokers who die, one nonsmoker will also die from breathing in secondhand smoke. Columbus Public Health supports smoke free environments and is committed to helping residents to stop smoking, as well as living, working and playing in smoke free spaces.
Through the Office of Health Planning, Columbus Public Health works with community groups, schools and worksites to increase awareness, programs and resources aimed at stopping tobacco use in Columbus.
