Babies Were Born to be Breastfeed. Breastmilk is the perfect food to promote a healthy weight for an infant as he/she grows, as well as helping the mother to return to her pre-pregnancy weight. Because breastfeeding sends some of the mother's immune system (her antibodies), it builds the baby’s immune system to fight off infection. Breastfeeding is also a wonderful way to spend time together, building the bond between mom and baby. A Few Important Facts: Breastfeeding...
- Helps protect babies against ear infections, respiratory problems, digestive disorders, diabetes, childhood cancer, and SIDS.
- Reduces mom’s risk for breast, ovarian, and cervical cancers, and osteoporosis.
- Saves $1,500-2,500/year by not buying formula and money spent on doctor’s visits.
