Rabies Vaccination Clinics Monthly

Columbus Public Health is helping pets and families live healthier and safer lives by offering monthly rabies immunization clinics.  The clinics will offer $6 shots for dogs, cats and ferrets – which are required by law to be vaccinated in Franklin County.

Clinics are held from 1-3 p.m. each month at various locations
(unless noted otherwise)

  • Clinics are sponsored by Columbus Public Health, the Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine and the Franklin County Board of Health.
  • All animals must be on a leash or in an animal carrier and the $6 fee must be paid in cash. 
  • Owners also are asked to bring prior certificates and tags if they have them.

Why vaccinate?

Rabies is a fatal disease that can be transmitted to humans from a bite, scratch or contact with the saliva of an infected mammal.  In 2005, more than 6,400 animals were found to be infected in the U.S.
