Rabies Vaccination Clinics Monthly

Columbus Public Health is helping pets and families live healthier and safer lives by offering monthly rabies immunization clinics. The clinics will offer $6 shots for dogs, cats and ferrets – which are required by law to be vaccinated in Franklin County. Clinics are held from 1-3 p.m. each month at various locations (unless noted otherwise) Upcoming Clinics May 16th (Dog Bite Prevention Week Clinic) *** 10am-1pm*** Franklin County Dog Shelter Grounds 1731 Alum Creek Dr., 43207 June 13th Franklin County Fair Grounds (Exact location to be determined) July 11th Columbus Public Health 240 Parsons Ave., 43215 August 8th Pleasant Township Fire Dept. 5373 Norton Rd, Grove City, 43123 September 12th Columbus Public Health 240 Parsons Ave., 43215 October 10th Obetz Senior Center 1611 Chillicothe St., Obetz 43207 November 14th Columbus Public Health 240 Parsons Ave., 43215 December 12th Big Walnut Park Shelter House 5000 E. Livingston Ave., 43227 - Clinics are sponsored by Columbus Public Health, the Columbus Academy of Veterinary Medicine and the Franklin County Board of Health.
- All animals must be on a leash or in an animal carrier and the $6 fee must be paid in cash.
- Owners also are asked to bring prior certificates and tags if they have them.
Why vaccinate? Rabies is a fatal disease that can be transmitted to humans from a bite, scratch or contact with the saliva of an infected mammal.
