The Facts About Tuberculosis

TB is a communicable, airborne disease caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M.tb) bacteria. It is spread by breathing in the cough or sneeze of an infected person, not from simply breathing the same air in a room or hallway. The signs and symptoms of TB are: - Cough lasting longer than 3 weeks
- Coughing up blood
- Weight Loss
- Fever
- Night Sweats
