If you and your family had to leave your home in an emergency, what would you take with you?  What about pets – are you prepared to take them with you?

Answer:
September is National Preparedness Month, and Columbus Public Health wants you to learn Ready In 3 for emergencies in your homes, businesses and schools.

Ready In 3 is Three Easy Steps

Are you Ready?

Make a plan.

Know what you and your family (and pets) would do if you would have to leave your home or if you would have to stay in your home during a disaster.


Are You Ready?Make a kit for home, car and work.

Don’t forget to include important papers, flashlight, medications, battery-powered radio, food, water and blankets.


Are You Ready?Listen to the local news for information about what to do and where to go during an emergency.
