Sexual Health Clinic

Columbus Public Health (CPH) is seeking a part-time physician to work in our department’s Sexual Health Clinic.  The ideal candidate is a physician with experience in STD and HIV diagnosis, management, and treatment; specialized training is preferred.

The CPH Sexual Health Clinic provides a wide variety of STD/HIV services to well over 1,000 patients per month.  The clinic is open approximately 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday, including Tuesday evening. 

The job duties of the part time physician would include: 

·         Provide clinical supervision to non-physician clinicians during clinic hours

·         Routinely perform sexual health exams to determine diagnosis, treatment, and management for sexually-transmitted infections.

·         Audit clients’ charts to ensure quality clinical care, that clinic protocols are followed, and for peer review or insurance purposes. 

·         Review positive labs for appropriate diagnosis and treatment regimen.

 Oversight and consultation will be provided by the medical director of Columbus Public Health.

This position requires possession of a valid license to practice medicine in the State of Ohio.
